9/18/2016 UPDATE FROM HER SON:

I know you can no longer read this, but I'd like to put it into words anyway. You are the best mother I could have ever hoped for. The list of things you have done for me is endless. A mother's love is truly the most precious thing there is. At 3:20 as I was writing this, you took your last breath. I'm so sorry that you lost your fight with Cancer. The time you spent over the last 49 years, nursing me back to health, and when you needed it the most, I couldn't help you at all. I'm very grateful to my sister's, Teresa Turner- Bennett & Angela Turner- Perry for all they've done for you over the last few months. They took great care of you. You'll be missed by many, mom. Your pain and suffering is now over. Just know that you meant the world to me and you'll forever be in my heart. I LOVE YOU MOM.

UPDATE 7/16/15: Thank you so much for your response to my question about Rena Blackwater's death. I am not very computer literate, and just now found your message, along with questions that you had asked me in the past. I will answer them now. My maiden name was White. along with Rena, I associated with Deanna Clark, Cheryl Dieffenger sp, Shirley Wilson, Marsha Hughes, and a few others who's names escape me now. I was in Mr. Langford's senior government class, and the only classmate that I remember being in there with me was Michael O'Connor. Guess I remember him because of his name, also the name of my future husband.(Michael) I didn't know Annie, but I know the pain of loosing a loved one and just wanted to offer my condolences. I have been wanting to join you for one of the mini reunions, but since I lost my husband almost four years ago, I just feel like a fish out of water going to new places and people that I don't know. I know we have a lot in common because of the post that I read. Hopefully one day soon, I will make it . I am just now able to go to our home in Show Low to spend a few days in the cool mountains. Thanks for listening, and again I am very appreciative of the information on Rena.

5/22/14:  Although I didn't actually graduate with the class of 64, I did spend my senior year with you.  Six weeks prior to graduation, I returned to Indiana to graduate with the kids I started 1st grade with.   I made alot of new friends at Mesa High, and it broke my heart the night that "Old Main" burnt.  Yes, I returned to Arizona with my husband in 1966.  After retiring from the Air Force, we returned to Arizona in 1980.  Our three children, nine grandsons, and three great grandsons all call Arizona home.  I lost my husband of 47 years in 2011.  It has been a great life, and I appreciate all of my memories, including those made at Mesa High.  I would love to come to the reunion.

Thank you for this website. No one need ever remember me nor do I necessarily need to be remembered, but I attended school in Mesa (Irving, Franklin, and East Mesa Junior High) with many of the students listed in the website. My parents (and consequently I) moved to Tempe while I was in 7th grade. My wife and I left Arizona in 1974 and only recently moved back to Queen Creek to be close to our grand-daughter. I enjoyed visiting this site and remembering those days from long ago. I learned a long time ago, however, the people who leave remember those left behind far more than those left behind remember those who have left. Thank you.

HEARD DAN PASSED AWAY TODAY.  7/26/2016

DAN AND ANN ARE JOINING US FOR THE REUNION.
THEY ARE COMING FROM FLORIDA.

Life has been very good to my family and me.  We have been  blessed with three great children who have given us eight grandchildren.  Two girls and six boys, from the ages of 15-8.   We spend alot of time following many sporting events, as all play something.  I retired from my masonry business in 2006 and shortly got tired of being retired!  With a friend I went into the lounge business.  Fun but too much work.  Looking forward to seeing as many  of you as possible at the 50th reunion.
