Dearest Friends and Family,

The letter below was written so very well by a precious neighbor who wanted to help me give you the news that Kim is Home. You can imagine that things here are a bit hectic, but some major issues have been completed and everything is going smoothly. I feel as though I am in the midst of a miracle that I certainly do not deserve; perhaps the reason being that the Lord desires me to continue here with the Yora work.

As Kim's fatigue increased, the Lord enabled me to do even more of the ministry work than I had been doing. Kim and I have always had long discussions about the work, the translation, the people, and the future. Recently it seemed as though we have had more meaningful times planning strategy. Kim was more optimistic and motivated than I have known him to be in some time.

I will write again to tell you more about Kim. He was an extraordinary individual.

I pray that the Lord will use the news of Kim's leaving to enrich and deepen your living. May we look more at one another, listening more attentively to each other, being more aware of what the Lord would have us be doing for Him and for each other. May we more easily forgive each other. We don't know how much time we may have. But the Lord is faithful and we can fully lean on the plans that He has for us.

My neighbor, Joy who is also a member of Wycliffe Bible Translators, today found the photo that is attached of Kim and myself.

With much of my love and my prayer for you, Carolyn

Wow, do we wish that we could be there! Mesa is still very much home to us because it has only been seven years since Kim´s mother passed away and the family home was sold. Kim and I (Carolyn) had several opportunities over the last twenty years to spend time in Mesa. One of our supporting churches is there--First Baptist Church on Brown Road.

We work with Wycliffe Bible Translators in Peru, South America. We have worked with a small indigenous group deep in the jungle for over twenty years. It is a little difficult to get away, and expensive. We actually are planning a short time that we could be in the States, but November is too soon for us to leave the work right now.

May you all have an extraordinary time! You all have worked so hard on this. Kim has not yet seen the web site, but he is in for a tremendous 'treat'. I want to spend more time there looking at all that you have collected.

If the Lord has something unusual planned for us, and we would find ourselves in the U.S. in November, we will call you and will be there. We will be remembering you during this very special event!

  Much love,  Carolyn with Kim
